Almost every business I’ve ever worked with has some sort of a presence in social media, be it Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or YouTube, to name a few. It seems like snap chat has gained a lot of momentum recently, although Instagram this past week unveiled Stories, a disappearing feed just like snap chat.
Most organizations may not have a strong strategy behind it but they feel that it is important to maintain those relationships with their audiences since that’s how they tend to communicate today. Especially millennials.
With the explosion of social media usage around the world, social media websites have become an important platform for businesses to engage with customers, prospects, and even employees. I mean Damn, Look at how the presidential candidates are using it to play against each other now!
Social is being used for customer interactions, companies are using social media platforms to engage with existing and prospective customers, reinforce brand identity, as well influence customer opinions, and provide targeted offers, or promotions.
This creates cost effective engagement with customers more efficiently than traditional media.
The truth is you can turn your social media routine into a revenue generating opportunity for your organization by following a few simple steps.
You’ll want to stay up to date on the latest trends and offer choices for your target audience. It is important to understand how your audiences communicate with you and offer them a variety of social media options to access information about you on regular basis. Make sure that you post the same information on all of your pages just to cover your bases.
You can use free tools, like HootSuite that will save you a ton of time by managing and scheduling posts to all of your social media pages.
